Product Applications
The main applications for Tungsten Carbide have traditionally been in chip removal, rock drills and woodworking. Nowadays, Tungsten Carbide is present in many sectors. Tungsten Carbide is suitable for e.g. punching tools, cutting tools, crushing tools, deep-drawing tools, punching tools, plain bearings, the inserts, nozzles, friction wheels, wear plates, etc. There are many use.
Cutting tools
Cutting tools are common applications, where Tungsten Carbide is at it´s best. Tungsten Carbide blades are durable and they maintain long service intervals. In many applications blades can be re-sharpened.
Annular Products
Quite large annular products can be made from Tungsten Carbide. Tungsten carbide rings can be used as cutting rings, sleeves, plain bearings and seals. Normally Tungsten Carbide doesn´t need any lubricants, that will bring savings in costs in many solutions when no separate lubrication systems are not needed.
Combination Products
In many cases Tungsten Carbide is rational to join to steel products. The joint can be made by brazing e.g. Silver brazer, gluing or mechanically. Steel can also be coated by Wolfram Carbides by spraying with special methods.

The main advantages of ceramics are better tolerance of high temperatures, better sliding properties (in some cases), significantly better acid tolerance, lightness, electrical non-conductivity (ceramics are dielectric, except silicon carbide) and the smaller thermal expansion coefficient.
